Ok a year passed...I'll blame it on the lack of a camera...Have you ever notied it is really hard to come up with or justify posting something to these sites without a picture or two? See? Our's died, but Cathy is bringing one back so we should be all set again...However, Cassidy, as promised, got her first cell phone on her 15th...CR has moved to 3G network so you can't even get a cheapo phone anymore and it definitely is not like in the states where you can walk in anywhere and grab one, but I'll spare you the details...Anyway it does text and pictures and she is stoked...and we have a couple new pictures...however, she is more stoked by our new pets..
Oops, thought I had a pic...I'll get one...but they are cute when they are sleeping..
Leo the cat disapeared about 6 months or so ago and finally the ladies down at the pulperia (CR 7-11) had a litter so the kids picked a couple out...2 are better than one when it comes to kittens I have found...they entertain eachother..
Cassidy is also now the proud quasi-owner of a horse named Paddy...Quasi- I told everyone I had to "see a man about a horse" and actualy did...i have found that i am aamong only a small number of people old enough to know about that saying...anyway I worked out a deal with the owner where we sponsored the horse and now she can ride it all she wants for free until it dies, but it still goes out with other people now and then and he takes care of boarding, vet bills, food etc,,,All the good and none of the bad so everyone is happy...assidy goes out every weekend and more on vacation and like most girls very much enjoys the riding and loves litle Paddy (he is not too old fortunately and in good health ;0)

Liam is still around too ;0) his highlights would definitely be school related as he scored highs for his class and some 100s on the trimester exams, which is great for a gringo kid with the highest grade is spanish class although he does not gloat and is more into having fun.A low note was his best buddy for a year had to move back to the states so he is still kind of looking for a new buddy and keeps busy going to the beach etc and unfortunately or fortunately with facebook chats and games...we try to do something new every month and last month, without a camera, we went hiking on the indigenous reserve over a mountain..1/2 way we met up with an indigenous family and checked out their houses on stilts with little animals running all over and granpda peeking out to say hi to us in Bri Bri and then the husband wife and kids led us along a hiway of paths to the next town over rivers, trees, picking stuff for me to eat or take home along the way and the little girls pointed out frogs, deer and wild pig tracks...it was wild....Liam said "I thought they would be in loin cloths", but the girls go to school and have to walk several miles long these trails to get there...no more complaining after you see how they live...They will be the recipients of our next bag of goodies we are collecting, clothes, supplies etc... This month we'll go fishing next week and then we are doing this kayak trek on the Sixaola river that separates CR and Panama that should be cool...
Ok for now, just had to jump back in the blog game..all is well, Pura Vida Mon...
